Please walk carefully through the building

Our rooms should be left as clean and tidy as when you entered them.
The audio guides are a wonderful aid - please keep the volume low so as not to disturb other visitors.
Visitor cloakrooms are for use during opening hours only. It is not permitted to take the cloakroom keys to the lockers outside the building.
When visiting in groups, group leaders are instructed to stay with their group and keep them together. A guided tour of the exhibition may be cancelled by the guide if the house rules are not observed. In this case there is no right to a refund.
A house that lives
Be inspired by the greenery of the garden, the trees and the uneven ground - they are more than decoration, they are part of Hundertwasser's vision of a harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Please be aware of the uneven ground when entering, as it can be a tripping hazard.
Sustainable travel KunstHausWien welcomes environmentally friendly travel - on foot, by bike or by public transport.
The museum is barrier-free. Our team is happy to accompany visitors who need a lift to the exhibition levels. Please contact the museum staff for assistance.
Safety and responsibility in an emergency
In the event of an alarm, please follow the instructions of our guards and security staff immediately. In the event of non-compliance, we reserve the right to prohibit further visits without refund.
Emergency exits should only be used in the event of an emergency. Traffic and escape routes and exits must be kept clear.
Access to all areas outside the exhibition halls is only permitted by appointment, on official business and accompanied by Museum staff.
Lost property may be handed in at the Museum ticket office. Items not collected will be handed over to the Lost Property Office.
For the protection of visitors, staff and works of art, the entire museum area is under video surveillance. CCTV footage may be made available to the relevant authorities at their request.
Please note: Anyone who causes damage by disregarding the house rules will be held liable.
In the event of gross misconduct or repeated breaches of the House Rules, the Museum reserves the right to expel or refuse entry to any person. In such cases there is no entitlement to a refund.
