How to find us
Public transport
As a green museum that is committed to sustainability, we are happy to welcome anyone travelling by public transport. Using public transport means protecting the climate! It's possible, or rather it's very easy.
Take the U3 or U4 to Landstraße. Then take tram line 0 in the direction of Bruno-Marek-Allee to Radetzkyplatz. From there it is about a two-minute walk to the museum.
Take the U1 or U4 to Schwedenplatz. Then take tram line 1 in the direction of Prater, Hauptallee to Radetzkyplatz. From there: two minutes on foot to the museum.
Take the U1 or U2 to Praterstern. From there, take tram line 0 in the direction of Raxstraße/Rudolfshügelgasse to Radetzkyplatz and walk two minutes to the museum.
Take the U3 underground line to Rochusgasse. Then either from the Sechskrügelgasse stop take tram line O in the direction of Bruno-Marek-Allee to Radetzkyplatz. Or from the Löwengasse stop, take tram line 1 in the direction of Stefan-Fadinger-Platz to Radetzkyplatz. Either way, it's a two-minute walk to us.
With the Vienna City Card, visitors can use public transport in Vienna for 24 hours or 7 days - and get a 30 per cent discount on admission to the KunstHausWien. Protect the climate, enjoy the benefits!
By bike
You can cycle along the Danube Canal and discover Hundertwasser's works on the way to us: the boat landing stage and the Spittelau district heating plant, the Hundertwasser Promenade, the Hundertwasser House and finally the KunstHausWien. (You can easily plan your route here.) There are plenty of places to park your bike in front of and around the museum. Nearby you will also find WienMobilRad hire stations, the bike-sharing service of Wiener Linien.
By Car
The KunstHausWien is located in the centre of Vienna's 3rd district. Parking spaces are scarce here, in short-term parking zones and on working days they are also subject to charges. However, if you arrive by car, it is best to park in one of the multi-storey car parks nearby:
Sofiensäle underground car park: Blattgasse 14, 1030 Vienna
Garage Justizzentrum: Marxergasse 1a, 1030 ViennaBuses
There are pick-up and drop-off points directly at the KunstHausWien on Weißgerberlände and at the Hundertwasserhaus on Weißgerberlände/Kegelgasse. There are also two free waiting areas for coaches near the KunstHausWien.
Free waiting area KunstHausWien and Hundertwasserhaus: with direct access to the inner courtyard.
Free waiting area KunstHausWien / Erdberger Lände: only a few minutes' walk from the museum. -
Site map
The location of the KunstHausWien: Untere Weißgerberstraße 13 in 1030 Vienna. The easiest way is to enter the address in Google Maps or Apple Maps and then let yourself be guided to us.
And while you're here, you can also stop by the Hundertwasserhaus. It is only a five-minute walk from the museum and is a residential area designed by Hundertwasser. Worth seeing!

Accessibility
One of our aims is to make the art we exhibit accessible to everyone. We mean this not only literally, but also in the truest sense of the word. That is why our museum naturally has barrier-free access. You will find the ground-level side entrance with automatic sliding doors to the left of the main entrance.
The museum also has a passenger lift that stops on all floors. The shop and Café Friedlich are barrier-free. There is also a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor.
Due to the specific architecture of the KunstHausWien, the floors are uneven in places. Please note that they may be more difficult to walk on for people with reduced mobility. If required, we will be happy to provide a wheelchair for your visit. Of course, certified assistance dogs for the blind can also be brought along at any time. Accompanying persons of people with disabilities receive free admission.
For optimal support and to reserve a wheelchair, please contact us in advance at: info@kunsthauswien.com

Groups & Guided Tours
On the one hand, we offer classic tours of the Hundertwasser Museum and current exhibitions. On the other hand, it is also possible to book special tours for groups focussing on different topics. For example, on the topics of ecology or architecture.
We can also add a workshop to our tours on request. If you prefer to keep to yourself, click on the audio guide option.
-
Bags & Wardrobe
Free yourself from the ballast of everyday life and enjoy an undisturbed time at KunstHausWien: please leave your rucksacks, suitcases, bags and umbrellas in our cloakroom. There are also lockable lockers there.
-
Audioguide
The KunstHausWien is not only something for the eyes, but also for your ears. Use our audio guide during your visit. In the Museum Hundertwasser you will learn all about the life and work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser - in German, English and French.
You can also use the audio guide to find out about our artists in our temporary exhibitions. It is available there in German and English. The audio guide is available to borrow on site. You can also download it to your smartphone. It will be available there for 90 days after purchase. Handy if you want to listen to something again later.

Photographing in the museum
You just can't get enough of some objects. We understand that only too well. For this reason, photography and filming is permitted for private purposes. However, you must refrain from using flash, tripods and selfie sticks. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to take photos in the exhibition rooms of Museum Hundertwasser.
Even though we are always happy to receive reports on KunstHausWien, editorial photos and films are only permitted with written authorisation. Normally you can get this from our press department without any problems. Please send us an e-mail at presse@kunsthauswien.com

Shop
After visiting KunstHausWien, you will have many new impressions. Some people even buy souvenirs that they can touch. We are particularly proud of the wide range of sustainable products we offer in our museum shop, such as wooden pencil boxes.
Our focus is on books that deal with the topic, including The Fermentier Bible. However, we also stock classic books and a wide range of children's books. You will also find all kinds of Hundertwasser-themed souvenirs, such as shirts, scarves and umbrellas, in our museum shop. You can also purchase publications and catalogues relating to current exhibitions. The best part? You can order our merchandise online! Even if you're not in Vienna at the moment. Or if you're craving it.

Café Friedlich
To round off your enjoyment of art, we recommend a visit to our museum café.
There you can get a portion of Hundertwasser on the house:The café has a black and white design, is colourfully playful and lush with greenery. And the Friedlich also reflects Hundertwasser's ecological and sustainable values in other ways: with high-quality, regional and seasonal food that is processed into delicious dishes. Vegetarian and vegan.
You can also try Hundertwasser's favourite dish there. But we won't tell you what it is - you'll have to visit the restaurant yourself. But we can tell you this much: it's as green as our museum.
