Out of the museum - into nature and the urban architecture of the 3rd district!
This tour is for everyone who wants to learn more about the green architecture around the Kunst Haus Wien, as well as Friedensreich Hundertwasser's formal language. Mosaic patterns, dancing windows, colourful facades and unique tree shapes. As part of an interactive outdoor tour in the Grätzl, we will walk in Hundertwasser's footsteps. We explore Hundertwasser's work and philosophy at three stops:
- Start & End: Kunst Haus Wien
- Hundertwasser House
- Hundertwasser's Pavilion on the Danube Canal
A 90-minute tour including an architectural drawing workshop can be booked on request.
For pupils from 8 years - individually adapted to the needs of the class.
Duration: 60 or 90 minutes
Group size: max. 15-20 p., from 21 p. the group will be divided into two groups
Meeting point: Kunst Haus Wien - Grätzloase, Untere Weißgerberstraße 13, 1030 Vienna
Information about the outdoor tour:
TIMING: The tour starts on time and cannot be extended beyond the booked timeslot in case of group delays.
SUPERVISION: School groups must be supervised by the respective accompanying persons. The group leader is responsible for the appropriate behaviour of children and young people and is subject to the duty of supervision.
Please ensure that you wear weatherproof clothing - no cloakroom! In case of light drizzle, the tour can take place in a shortened form (60 min.), in case of bad weather the tour is cancelled.
