Tour through the exhibition: Mika Rottenberg. Antimatter Factory
School tour guide
Mika Rottenberg. Antimatter Factory
Mika Rottenberg creates fantasy worlds of seductive sensuality and irritating logic. Her artworks offer deep insights into different working environments, such as a pearl farm, a Chinese wholesale market for cheap goods or the production of ready meals. She reveals the grotesque mechanisms of global supply chains, industrial production and profit-driven labour. In a humorous way, the artist highlights the urgency of conserving resources, consuming less and living more sustainably.
The tour immerses students in these different worlds, allowing them to become an active part of the production chain. Together with an art educator, they will interactively explore Mika Rottenberg's work and relate it to their own actions. This encourages reflection on consumer behaviour and promotes a positive approach to resources.
