11.06.-27.08.15
GARAGE outside The Urban Digital Land Art Project by artist Elisa Rose and musician Gary Danner combines audiovisual interventions, performances, conversations and the presentation of the catalogue NEXT Digital Quarter Century within a media sculpture in the inner courtyard of the KUNST HAUS WIEN. Based on their concept of New Media Arte Povera (nMAP), which they have been pursuing since 2008 and which abuses turbo-capitalism as input, STR has expanded its range of action with Pixel Land Art. After 20 years of cultural productivity abroad and exploring and living in cyberspace (STR has been online since 1991), the artists bring their project to an urban setting, which thereby becomes the venue for their audiovisual art. It is an architectural and social manifest, charged with the traces of being human. More -
Sentiment

Volker Renner's photographs show depopulated landscapes, both urban and rural. He portrays surroundings: what lies offside and seems unimportant at first glance. The focus is on ownerless objects, abandoned abodes and empty public spaces. Katarina Šoškić keeps a 'visual diary' – she portrays people around her with sensitivity and empathy. Her works play with the art of hiding things while revealing private, personal moments at the same time. More -
